Meet Jenna
Founder & Owner
Jenna Shulman, founder and owner of Get Me Into College, has guided students through college admissions since 2015, successfully assisting over 700 students nationwide.
Leveraging her expertise and extensive campus visits to over 150 colleges, Jenna alleviates the stress of college admissions by instilling confidence in students and families. With a professional writing and media production background, Jenna's commitment to ongoing professional development ensures personalized guidance and access to the best resources for her clients.
Allison Schachtel
College Counselor
Allison Schachtel, a college counselor with over ten years of experience in public and private schools, helps students and families with academic planning and college prep. She specializes in college searches and applications, having visited over 100 schools. Allie holds degrees from the University of Delaware and Rutgers.
Katie Perry
College Counselor
Katie Perry, a full-time college counselor on Jenna's team, brings experience guiding nearly 50 students through college applications. With an Educational Consultant Certification from UC Irvine and a Public Relations degree from the University of Maryland, she excels in essay writing and project management. Katie is active in IECA and NJACAC.
Evan Gerstein, M.Ed.

Evan Gerstein, an independent college counselor, joins Jenna's team with a focus on guiding students through the college admissions process. Pursuing a Doctor of Education at Vanderbilt, he emphasizes open-minded college selection and deadline management. Evan previously worked in admissions at the University of Michigan and is active in IECA and IACAC.

Amy Carangelo is an independent college counselor with over six years of experience in Northern New Jersey as a high school counselor. With expertise in 504 and IEP programming, she offers a deep understanding of support services. Amy holds degrees in Communication Arts and School Counseling and is actively pursuing her License in Professional Counseling.
Alex Roberts
College Counselor
Alex is an independent college counselor with over a decade of experience in education, currently serving as a high school counselor in New Jersey. With a background in NYU Admissions and public schools in Bergen and Essex Counties, she brings deep insight into both the college admissions process and student development. Alex holds degrees in Secondary Education and School Counseling, and a College Counseling Certificate from UCLA. She is also an advanced certified yoga instructor, offering students and families a calm, mindful, and supportive approach.

Amy Calzone, an experienced educator, taught Advanced English and AP Language at Morris Hills High School for 14 years. Now part of Jenna's team as an independent college counselor, she specializes in guiding students through college applications and essay coaching. With nearly two decades of experience in theater direction and choreography, Amy helps students succeed in the performing arts. She earned her degrees from Seton Hall University and The College of New Jersey.
