Francine provides students with expert guidance on college applications and essays, offering brainstorming support, strategic insight, and specialized instruction to help them navigate the transition from high school to college.
With more than 37 years of experience in education, Francine O’Connor has served in a variety of roles, including high school resource teacher, in-class support English teacher, and Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC). Throughout her distinguished career, she has equipped students with the tools, strategies, and support needed to achieve academic success.
Now entering her fourth season with Get Me Into College as a College Essay Editor, Francine draws on her extensive educational background to help students brainstorm, develop, and refine compelling college admissions essays. She also provides thoughtful guidance throughout the college application process, with particular expertise in supporting students who benefit from specialized instruction and transitional support.
Francine holds a Master of Education and certifications as both an LDTC and Supervisor, along with undergraduate degrees in Special Education K–12 and Elementary Education K–8. In recognition of her outstanding dedication to education, she was honored with the 2015–2016 Governor’s Educator of the Year Award.
